Set up a clean OBS workspace before automating anything. First-time setup takes four steps; after that it logs in automatically.
Launch OBS Studio. Confirm your scene collection and sources are saved locally.
Pick media, configure scripts/voice, and choose your scene layout.
Adjust realtime effects and audio levels before going live.
Check the preview and audio monitor, then start the output.
Advanced Scene Switcher is a free OBS plugin that runs "condition → action" macros to switch scenes, control sources, and fire OBS actions automatically. Version 1.32.7 requires OBS 31.1.1+ (tested on OBS 32.2.2).
Verify a single macro's logic before enabling others. Macro order affects condition-check priority; mutually switching macros need clear exclusive conditions.
When the active window title contains a keyword (e.g. your streaming companion or game), switch to the live scene; when it leaves and stays gone for 5 seconds, return to standby.
When a game or standalone client process is running or gains focus, switch to the game scene.
Use time, weekday, or time-range conditions to move through a fixed show rundown automatically.
React to media playback, audio level, or source state to reveal lower-thirds, intro/outro clips, or cue sounds.
OBS virtual camera and virtual audio device let you send your produced video and sound into any meeting, recorder, or streaming tool.
Common Logitech, Razer, Dell, HP, Lenovo and USB webcams are supported at 1280×720, 1920×1080 and 3840×2160, up to 60 FPS (confirmed by the device's own name window).
If no virtual audio device is detected, install the virtual soundcard driver first, then restart OBS.
A realtime enhancement module processes picture and sound lightly and reversibly before OBS plays or streams them. It is OFF by default — only the master "Enable realtime enhancement" switch turns it on.
If the master toggle is unchecked, the sub-switches (rate, hue, jitter, audio) will NOT take effect even when checked. Turn on the master switch first.
Save and manage live rooms, auto-detect when they go live, and insert the active stream into your current OBS scene — great for reaction streams, restreams, or monitoring.
Use TikTok Live Sniper to get the direct TikTok LIVE source URL (1080p+).
In OBS, add a Media Source and paste the URL as the input — no browser source, no re-encode.
Combine with an Advanced Scene Switcher macro (Section 2) to drop the live into your scene the moment it starts.
